By now most law enforcement officers should have heard about the latest designer drug trend – the use of bath salts. It has a drug that has been highlighted in the media due to the extreme adverse effects that users experience when they come down from the high and become physically aggressive, and experience decreased sensitivity to pain. This has caused some users to really act in strange and violent ways, and they pose a risk to the general public as well as to police officers on duty.

Officers need to do more than simply be aware that bath salts are a part of new drug trends, it is important that you understand some of the signs associated with their use, as well as the dangerous side effects.
